* A single person can schedule a Private Tour for themself.
* Private Tours are for Tourist Customers who would like to have privacy on tour, having the tour exclusively for themselves e.g. a couple, a family, or group… It could be Regular or Cruise Tourists.
* Only Private Tours are offered to Cruise Tourists… There are many factors why private tours only, are offer. There may be an emergency at sea and the ship could arrive late, bad weather, late tender, missed water taxi, sickness, etc… or the customer simply did not show up… were the case for a couple tours that were booked. Therefore private tours are best. We begin when you arrive, regardless of time and we finish in time for you to catch your return water taxi/plane back to Belize City.
* For private tours, customers can join up to split the cost if they’d like.
* The Private Hol Chan Tour is a short version of the Regular Full Day Tour. It was designed for Cruise tourists who are interested in visiting Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley as their top locations to visit. Their limited time frame would not allow them to do a Regular Full Day Tour and visit Hol Chan, since we may start a bit later than scheduled 10:30AM at times and we usually give extra time and go over the 3:30PM finishing time.

“Best Snorkeling Trip”
We normally book excursions directly with our cruise line but, in light of the great reviews, we ventured to book with Caveman. Very satisfied. Caveman and his associate Felix were incredibly friendly and professional. Belize has a beautiful coral reef and the Stingray and Shark Alley is a must. We managed to convince another couple we met at the ship to come with us (to reduce our cost) and they were also very happy with their experience. I would recommend to anyone. I sure will use Caveman again if I go back to Belize.

“Caveman” goes out of his way to make your trip the most it can be . Sharks, Rays, Tarpon, Sea horses. Caye Caulker is just a short “cheap” water taxi from Belize. I would have to say it was the best part of our cruise. Book private tours much cheaper then group tours off the cruise.
“Can’t wait to get back to Caveman”
Fabulous tour! There was just the 3 of us plus Caveman and Harry. Caveman took us out to 2 sites since we were short on time. The first site was the Great Barrier Reef. Harry has great in the water and showed us several things that we would not have noticed like a crab in a seashell and a hiding octopus. Our second stop was snorkeling with nurse sharks and sting rays. This was a little frightening, however Harry and Caveman made us feel comfortable. We then went on a brief sight seeing tour and then showed us where the tarpins hang out. Harry also found us a seahorse ! Caveman educated us on the environment and everything we came into contact with during our visit. This was some of the best snorkeling I have ever had. If you want to be herded, hurried and overcharged then stick to the cruise ship excursions, however if you want a great time and personal attention call Caveman! I will see you again soon my brother from another mother!

Caveman and his staff took great care in making sure we felt welcomed, safe, and that all of our vacation expectations were met and exceeded! Wonderful memories were made! Caveman made sure that we knew what water taxi to take and guided us through the vacation every step of the way including giving us advice on approximate times to get back and forth Inorder to make it to our ship in time. He would have made more money by allowing us to do the full day tour we had originally asked for, but he had OUR best interest in mind and suggested a cheaper half day tour instead. He was right! He is an honest, kind, and very good host. It is easy to feel overwhelmed and confused when traveling to different countries. Caveman took that stress away by guiding us every step of the way (in advance and if we had any questions upon arrival). The entire island was welcoming and non pressuring. We met wonderful people and had an incredible snorkeling experience. We will be going back!!! Thank you, Caveman!
