Why are Only Private Tours offered to cruise tourists?
* Note: We’ve had many many cruise tourists who’ve done Private Tours with us and they’ve all enjoyed themselves. But there have been some cruise ship tourists who cancelled their tour the morning of the tour or they simply did not show up. By setting a boat aside for a Private tour, we then give up many potential customers, since we have that boat reserved only for the customers of that private tour.
* Only Private Tours are offered to Cruise Tourists… There are many factors why only private tours are offered to cruise tourists. There may be an emergency at sea and the ship could arrive late, bad weather and the ship decide not to dock in Belize, late tender, missed water taxi, sickness, etc… or the customer simply did not show up… were the case for a few tours that were booked. Therefore private tours are best. We begin when you arrive, regardless of time and we finish in time for you to catch your return water taxi/plane back to Belize City.
* Private Tours are for tourist customers who would like to have privacy on tour, having the tour exclusively for themselves e.g. a couple, a family, or group…
* For private tours, customers can join up to split the cost if they’d like. Although some cruise tourists prefer not to join with anyone else.
* The Private Hol Chan Tour is a short version of the Regular Full Day Tour. It was designed for Cruise tourists who are interested in visiting Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley as their top locations to visit, and if their time frame permit, we then visit the other locations on the list. Their limited time frame would not allow them to do a Regular Full Day Tour and visit Hol Chan, since we may start a bit later than scheduled 10:30AM at times and we usually give extra time and go over the 3:30PM finishing time on a regular tour.
Cruise Ship Tourists must pay a non-refundable deposit for their Private Tour?
Yes. Our policy has changed and we now require a non-refundable deposit in order for us to secure this tour for you. (few exceptions)
* Note that by setting a boat aside for your private tour, we give up many other customers to keep that boat reserved for you or your group, and if you do not show up, then we still lose..
* You send this deposit online via Western Union Website: https://www.westernunion.com . You can use your credit card there, to make this deposit… Further instructions are given when you book your tour with us.
* You will be refunded your deposit, minus western union fee to return it back to you, Only if we cannot provide our service to you – cancellation on our part due to unforseen circumstance or if the weather is very bad that we cannot go on with the tour because of safety reasons.
